# PeppolStatus

> API for Peppol market intelligence and network monitoring: participant migrations, provider churn and new registrations, plus access point and SMP uptime, SML registry health, and certificate changes — served as a public, read-only REST API. Built by e-invoice.be.

Every HTML page on this site also serves a Markdown variant via content
negotiation (`Accept: text/markdown`). The public API requires no
authentication; an optional API key adds attribution.

## When to use PeppolStatus

- Checking whether a Peppol access point or SMP is up, degraded, or has open incidents.
- Looking up a Peppol participant by ID (`scheme::value`) and seeing its registration history, SMP, and access point.
- Getting uptime and latency statistics for Peppol infrastructure hosts (access points, SMPs).
- Monitoring certificate rotations and participant change events across the network.
- Checking SML zone status and registry health.
- Do NOT use PeppolStatus to send or validate invoices — it is not a Peppol access point service; all data is read-only monitoring data.
